EMPHASIS

Size gives emphasis as well as color.  Isolation can also give emphasis to an image because it draws the eye away from the group.

JANUARY 30-31 SKETCHES

After sketching for a while now I have realized that I am defiantly better at cartoon sketching, and have a thing for party favors.  I love how the balloons turned out with the confetti around it.  Also, the fruit has this vibrant color to it that gives it a bright look to it.

JANUARY 26-29 SKETCHES

The purple rain was kind of a mistake I was thinking about purple haze by Hendrix, but when I drew it, it came out purple rain...still a different kind of sketch.

This is my visual unity exercise.

JAN 23-25

The ball of yarn with the knitting needles, came about because I had to write a fake obituary about a currently alive celebrity, and I picked Lindsay Lohan, death by chocking on a throat lozenge while knitting a blanket.  It was goofy but it did make for a neat sketch.

I really like the checker banner that runs across the top of the page, the inspiration for that one came out of nowhere but turned out great.

I think that the cupcake is my favorite sketch out of all of these,  I did not know what to sketch so this is what I came up with.
